FAQ
- What type of work does GHP’s Pot Shop sell? Functional ware and small sculptures.
- Who sets the price for the work in the shop? Artists are responsible for setting their own prices. Sold work is split 60%/40%, with artists retaining 60% of the sale and 40% going to the gallery. Be sure to take this into consideration when pricing your work.
- Who should apply? Anyone in the GHP community is welcome to apply to be part of the shop, whether they are a new or established artist. The only requirement is that the artist be affiliated with GHP as a student, member, staff, faculty, exhibiting artist, or resident artist.
- Are there size restrictions? Work larger than 8″ in any dimension is unlikely to be selected.
- How is work chosen? Work is selected for the shop that displays the widest range of what is being made by the GHP community and seems most likely to be sellable. Our understanding of what is sellable will grow as our experience running this shop grows.
- How many objects should I apply with? 10-20 objects is a good number to apply with. All of those objects may not be selected, but that will give us a good range of work to look at. We are unlikely to select more than 10 objects at a time, as we would like to reserve space for as many artists as possible to participate.
